Every professional library has suggestions for resume writing, however, please bear in mind that almost all employers prefer a historical, rather than a generical, resume. Starting at the present time, and going back. A historical resume tells the prospective employer the history of the candidate, his/her progress over the years, previous employers, longevity with the different employers, history of responsibilities, upmobility, the dates of the different technologies the candidate was involved with, etc. It is most beneficial to have a list of the tools the candidate is familiar with, hardware and/or software oriented.
One that is highly recommended is "The Overnight Resume" by Donald Asher. You can buy it Amazon.com. The following site has suggestions for resume writing. http://www.rockportinstitute.com/resumes.html
